Trasa

Set out on a beautiful but more demanding hike leading below the highest Czech mountain.

The route starts in Pec pod Sněžkou and follows the scenic Obří důl valley along the blue hiking trail, where you can stop at Bouda pod Sněžkou on the way – after that, you’ll have to wait until the summit for the next refreshments. Just below the saddle near the mountain hut, you’ll encounter an exposed and often icy section where crampons or microspikes are highly recommended. From the Silesian House, continue across the Úpa Peat Bog to Luční bouda, and from there it’s just a short walk past the Memorial to the Victims of the Mountains to reach us.
