From Výrovka Chalet, follow the red trail towards the Memorial to the Victims of the Mountains. Established in 1975, this memorial now bears more than 150 plaques. It is a place with a profound atmosphere, reminding us that mountains are not only beautiful but also dangerous.
From the chapel, continue onward and soon you will reach Luční bouda. Keep following the red trail, also known as the old Buchar’s Path. Along the way, you’ll come across a pleasant rest stop – Renner’s Spring, named after Josef Renner, a respected mountaineer and owner of Luční bouda, who significantly contributed to the development of tourism in the Krkonoše.
From the spring, it’s only about 700 meters to the Kozí hřbety viewpoint, where you can look forward to breathtaking panoramic views. From here, you’ll see the majestic Sněžka – the highest mountain in the Czech Republic, the massive Studniční hora, the deep valleys of Obří důl and Modrý důl, as well as vast mountain meadows and forests. This is considered an easier route.
