About Výrovka
Výrovka Chalet is located in a mountain saddle at an altitude of 1,356 meters, at the crossroads of trails from Strážné to Luční bouda and from Špindlerův Mlýn to Pec pod Sněžkou. Its original name, Geiergucke, referred to its popularity with customs patrols.
In 1926, soldiers built a log cabin here to serve the needs of military ski training units.

Near Výrovka Chalet once stood Havlova Bouda, which, however, burned down in November 1947 and again in February 1948. Unlike most mountain chalets destroyed at that time, Výrovka was one of the few that was restored.

In 1948, a temporary hut with a dormitory of thirty beds was built on the site of Výrovka.

The current building was constructed between 1988 and 1990 based on the design of architect Vokatý (author of the Horizont Hotel in Pec pod Sněžkou, the extension of Vrchlabí Town Hall, and the O2 Arena). Výrovka Chalet provides tourist accommodation and flexible dining options. It is one of the best-situated places in the Krkonoše Mountains for beautiful summer hikes and, in winter, for popular ski touring and numerous cross-country ski trails.
